The SST5 detector matches the size of our 4-gas detector, already one of the smallest in its class. Traditional 5-gas detectors can seem like you are wearing a brick — bulky, heavy, worn on a harness away from the breathing zone where it matters most. The SST5 sets a new standard with a form factor so compact and light, you won’t notice you’re wearing it all day. Incredibly thin, it stays in place while you work without swinging around; comfortably clipped in the breathing zone puts detection exactly where it needs to be. It’s built tough to handle harsh working conditions and wider temperature extremes.

The SST5’s faster sensor response means significantly less gas is used (up to 50% less) with every test, part of the reason it delivers the lowest cost of ownership in its class. In a real gas event, speed also matters where it counts the most. A faster sensor response (up to 50% faster) can give your workers up to 20 extra seconds to evacuate. In a hazardous environment, 20 seconds can reduce the amount of toxic gas inhaled and save lives.

Your existing SST Dock docking station is compatible with the new SST5. No new module. The SST5 fits within the entire SST Range of portable gas detectors, the optional WatchGas Safety Ecosystem (dock, kiosk, app) and the optional RTR software and solution.
