𝗔𝗰𝗲𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 (𝗖𝟮𝗛𝟮), also known as Ethyne, is a compound from the alkynes group. This gas is often used in the chemical industry as a base material in organic compounds synthesis (such as acrylate or chloroethylene). Acetylene is also used during the 𝗵𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 (petroleum refining).
Even if this gas is not toxic, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. It is extremely flammable and has high explosion risk.
